For the peeps that are working full time, how is your job right now and do you like it?

I'm still deciding on my career path but I also wanted to know what you guys enjoy and dislike about your career.

My job is tedious and can be really tiring but i would say it's 'seasonal'. Sometimes you don't get to sleep and sometimes you don't have a thing to do. I deal with people a lot and any job that requires extensive human interaction can never be easy simply because we are all so different. When I started working, I had many things that i wasn't happy with but over the years, i think i sort of accepted that they are all part and parcel of the job. So, it really takes time to adapt. Don't make any decision to quit a job before you can answer this question with 100% confidence- "is it something i don't like or I'm just not used to it yet ?"

My dream job is the work in the entertainment industry. Even though i know its a tough and messed up world, I think it would be interesting to see the inside of what goes on to see this amazing finish product that is music, film and television. I'm not saying that i want to be a singer or actor, but I want to work behind the scenes in order to get a better look at stuff.

If this job fails, i'd probably go into international business. LOL

I would love to be one of the hosts for TNT NBA Thursdays or Inside the NBA. Alas, this is but a dream. I'm probably going to end up a dentist.

i want to be a doctor because i love helping others (still undecided on what type tho..but i'll figure it out in time :))
i want to be part of "doctors without borders"; i love traveling and learning foreign languages, so i think this program would provide a good opportunity for me to do so. i'm also thinking of maybe going to work in another country (considering France, but i still have a long ways to go!).

I'm very fickle. I decide what career I want to go into based on my hobbies. I've thought about becoming a graphic designer, nail technician, English teacher, and now I have this crazy dream of becoming an English journalist in Korea. Thank you omgkpop for the next wild dream. -____-

And if that doesn't work out, looks like I'll be making web sites/something related to computers.

career? dead before it even started, yo.

i was looking into speech/lang pathology and special education since the more i observe public education, the more i realize it's hella shitty. but i've had experience working with children with autism and a child with mild retardation and a handful of children with mild to severe adhd... and i realized i'm way too emotionally unstable to give the extra care they need and deserve. preschool education seems great, but i hate the ever-popular montessori method (reggio emilia ftmfw)... and in all the early childhood education courses, the hags stretch a 3hr class to four-and-a-half hours. screw that. and i've worked in a public day care / preschool and the many, many legal loopholes annoy me.

...

but i refuse to give up teaching T_T

...

or maybe i should just marry a rich, dying guy.

Career? ... that's a tough one ...

I'll say, I'm satisfied with what I've accomplished in my life, because I did follow my dreams and not regret it. It however came with consequences that makes it difficult for me to live the quiet life I now crave.

I'm looking for a well to do man, who's willing to have an at home wife and raise a family. :)

I use to be a car mechanic for 10+ years. as fate would have it, it was not destined to be. Working for yourself is great, currently doing some temp stuff to one day become a music producer.

currently in the IT dept. of a retail company. but it seems that what i'm doing now doesn't make me jump for joy in the morning when waking up. i just want to go back to sleep lol. currently on my way to a computer certification but when that's done and over with, we'll see what i do. i always feel like i gotta work towards something or else i feel like a bum. the direction is the tricky part. not sure if i ever had a consistent dream as a child. overall, my job aint that bad since the people i work with are in their 20-30s and are really chill. the pay is just crappy lol.
