Dia returned to the scene with "Another Boy," and from this song, netizens have compared her to popular idol group member Park Bom of 2ne1.
In an interview she revealed, "After my first performance, I was shocked at the responses. The MCs for one of the music shows introduced me as the singer who is trying to sing like Park Bom unnie, and after the performance, it became a hot issue on portal sites. Of course, it is good to be known all of a sudden, but because of all the mean comments saying my style is similar to Park Bom unnie's or that I am trying to imitate Park Bom, I was very hurt."
Dia also said, "Actually after the failure from the previous single, I lost all anticipation. I wanted so much to sing and perform on stage, but I can't and everyday it gets tougher. I was so depressed."
She has a positive outlook on her career, working harder and aiming for success. Dia will not stop now.
After thinking about Park Bom, Dia said, "I should be more thankful. I want to thank Park bom unnie if I ever get the chance to meet her. And also through this [comparison], I wanted to do my best to show my own styles and capabilities. My wish for the year is to be known as my name Dia, instead of 'the 2nd who-who.'"
This 17-year-old singer had her debut with the single 0carat last year and released a second 0.5carat in January. Her second single has been well received by fans and from her powerful vocals, Dia has earned the nickname of "Scary Newcomer."
I think she is cute and has a way better voice than Park Bom. Plus, Park Bom's face looks likes a dolls with all her plasic surgery, or at least on her eye lids. I don't find her attractive at all. I can see the comparison, but they aren't the same.
honestly i never heard anything about her till she started “telling people that she was compared to Bom” but it doesnt really matter. every ARTIST is different in their own way. i feel bad for her.. got nothing against her but…her company is smart for using Bom as a marketing Strategy

Bom is too much plastic and looks better in Forever with you. I was kind of disappointed when I saw her like that. I was totally a fan of hers in Forever with you and very much loved her voice. I think fans are just over reacting. And for me, I didn't notice Dia through this issue so I'm kind of happy.
