New Chocolate CF Song "Chocolate Love" not so new?
Girls' Generation and f(x) have released their own unique and representative version of the song "Chocolate Love" in order to promote LG's new Chocolate phone for Cyon... but is it really unique?
I thought the song was a bit predictable at first, and after a while realized the beat was extremely similar to a song by former S Club 7 member, Rachel Stevens, "Sweet Dreams My LA EX."
Many of you may remember Rachel Stevens from the group S Club 7, that debuted in 1999 and had a string of hit TV shows and singles until their break-up in 2003. Rachel's first solo single, "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex,"was produced by Bloodshy & Avant and released in September 2003.
It just so happens that Bloodshy & Avant produced "Chocolate Love" for SNSD and f(x).
While both songs are not exactly the same, the similarities are quite obvious. Maybe it is a coincidence? Perhaps... but after finding out both songs were produced by Bloodshy & Avant, it makes me feel that SNSD and f(x) just received a recycled song... How do you guys feel?
Personally, I think they just changed the chorus around a bit, and made "Chocolate Love" sound less acoustic. In no way am I attacking SNSD or f(x), or accusing them of plagiarizing... but being a fan of S Club 7 when I was younger, it just clicked in my head.

koreans should stop using american producers! its obvious that all the producers there dont think k-pop as an important industry just look wad happen to gdragon and now this! and not to mention, there are alot more out there
very very similar melody ... but the TWO songs have the same producers. I just think... SNSD FX got a recycled song... sadly.
BUT SM shouldn't get in trouble for this... after all, if SM does, it falls on the head of "Bloodshy & Avant" who gave the song to SME or LG Company to use for the girls.
i don't know why SM is fond of english producers/composers... they are just paying the name and not the artistry of the song.. they are paying big and advertising big for these producers (like, he is famous/he made songs for britney, etc) and all they can get is a recycled piece.. like the famous choreographer for sorry3, but they ended up using majority of eunhyuk's contributed moves and it turned out good..
